November 30, 2009 - New in Canada's Economic Action Plan
Through Canada's Economic Action Plan, the federal government
will invest $50 million over the next two years in developing a
framework to speed up the assessment and recognition of foreign
qualifications.

On April 1, 2009 - changes were made to the OHIP (Ontario Health
Insurance Plan) eligibility rules. These changes now include
coverage for those who have applied for Permanent Residence
and other improvements.
